Sustainability is a major focus for the University.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries in a global partnership.

The University submitted to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings in 2022 and 2023 - these are currently the only global performance ranking to assess our progress and performance against the UN SDGs.

By incorporating the UN SDGs into business cases, we can create an easily accessible body of material for future THE submissions, campaigns and engagement work.

The slides attached provide more information on the UN SDGs, examples of how they can be incorporated into business cases, and a specific worked example focusing on the Dear Green Bothy.
