The Hunterian fossil collections are amongst the largest in the UK and are widely used for research and teaching.
This display shows examples of a small part of the fossil fish collection found in Scotland, some with enormous teeth, from the Devonian (about 385 million years old) and Carboniferous (about 325 million years old) periods.
