Global Glasgow Partnership Fund: supporting international research

The University of Glasgow is committed to conducting world-changing research. Bold ideas develop when we work together - sharing knowledge, inspiring innovation, and undertaking research with a global impact.

Collaborating closely with our international partners, we’ve refreshed our funding approach to align with and complement the models many of you offer. The new Global Glasgow Partnership Fund (GGPF) provides seed funding for research in collaboration with our priority international partners, opening opportunities for innovative projects and impactful global connections.

The first launch of our new Global Glasgow Partnership Fund (GGPF) has just closed. There was strong interest in the new funding model, and we're pleased to be supporting a range of collaborative research projects with international partners. We were delighted to receive so many inspiring applications and look forward to seeing what these projects will deliver.

Thank you for supporting collaborative global research

We want to extend special thanks to our partners worldwide who actively promoted this opportunity with your academics. Every application required evidence of partner support, and we are especially grateful to colleagues across the globe who championed these proposals and committed to participating in the successful projects. Your engagement is vital in creating opportunities for academics to collaborate on research that truly makes a difference.

Sharing funding opportunities

We are committed to fostering meaningful partnerships with our international partners. To support this, we have launched a dedicated webpage featuring funding calls from our partners. This page is a central resource to promote your schemes and share opportunities that enable collaborative international research.

If you would like your funding opportunities to be included, we would be pleased to feature them. Please contact us to discuss further: externalrelations-partnershipfunding@glasgow.ac.uk.
