52 Squares: Diversity in Everyday Life is an exhibition on diversity in urban life and questions how the same moments can be interpreted in different ways by different individuals.

The exhibition showcases a selection of photographs capturing mundane moments in everyday life, along with their interpretations by the illustrator. Full project portfolio can be seen:

The opening panel will introduce the exhibition, facilitated by Dr Alison McCandlish, and include a Q&A session.

Dr Bilge Serin is an urban studies scholar and social scientist working on everyday life, inequality and inclusion in cities, and contemporary urban experience. Funda Mengilli is a children’s book illustrator.
