Tuesday, 28th April, 12.30pm - 2 pm: Discover Glasgow Changing Futures (GCF) and the upcoming GCF Collaborative Seed Fund (webinar)
Held ahead of the launch of the GCF Collaborative Seed Fund (opening 30 April), this webinar is designed for University of Glasgow staff who are interested in learning more about Glasgow Changing Futures and are considering applying for this internal funding opportunity.
The session began with a welcome from Emma Kallblad, Senior Programme Manager, who introduced the GCF team supporting seed funds and the programme for the day. Chris Pearce, VP Research and Programme Sponsor for GCF outlined GCF’s strategic role at UofG and how the GCF Collaborative Seed Funding call had been developed to support challenge-led, collaborative work across the University.
Emma provided a short introduction to the funding call, including its broad structure and key dates, helping colleagues prepare ahead of launch.
Applicants then heard directly from the GCF Area Leads: Maria McPhillips for Collaborative Futures, Jaime Toney for Sustainable Futures, and Petra Meier for Healthy and Equitable Futures. Each lead spoke about the purpose and focus of their area, the kinds of proposals they would be keen to see, and advice for colleagues who are beginning to shape an idea.
The session concluded with a moderated Q and A, followed by a short summary of the support available to applicants for the call, including the application process briefing webinar and the in-person application clinic.
This session is ideal for University of Glasgow staff who want to better understand Glasgow Changing Futures, hear directly from the Area Leads, and begin preparing for the launch of the GCF Collaborative Seed Funding call. If you missed it, you can watch the recording below.
