A Shedload Story 2014

In 2014 GSF was continuing to collaborate with community groups via the CLAN project. The partnership between groups in Possilpark such as The Imaginarium and Concrete Garden led to the project A Shedload of Science. Shedload of Science at this point was a subset of the CLAN project focused in the Possilpark area, 30 of the 86 events delivered in 2014 as part of CLAN were Shedload of Science projects. Shedload of Science ran throughout September and October 2014 in venues such as Keppock Campus, The Imaginarium, Lambhill Stables, Concrete Garden, The Grove and Saracen Street Bandstand.

This year was the start of the pop up shed appearing in playgrounds and community spaces for lunchtime and evening STEM workshops.

CLAN and Shedload of Science projects were the starting point for a long standing partnership between GSF and Concrete Garden in particular and many other events were hosted here including: Harry Potter & the Garden of Secrets and many appearances at Concrete Garden's annual Harvest Festival.
