Exhibition Opening and Book Launch - Egon Altdorf
Join us for the opening of an exhibition devoted to German artist, designer and poet, Egon Altdorf (1922-2008). This is the first time such a range of his work is being shown in the UK. A scholarly volume of essays and a book of his translated poetry will be launched at the evening, and the artist's son will be present.

Egon Altdorf (1922-2008) was a German artist, poet and prisoner of war. He worked as a sculptor and printmaker and designed extensive glass for the new Synagogue in Wiesbaden, Germany in 1966, a significant post-Holocaust work.
Join us on Wednesday 11 October at 5.30pm for the launch of this exhibition and the launch of a book, "Into the Light: The Art of Egon Altdorf".
This is the beginning of a programme of musical events and seminars accompanying the exhibition in the UoG Memorial Chapel, which runs from 11 October until 17 November 2023. Viewing available Mon/Tue/Thur/Fri from 9-12; 2.30-5pm.
