Establishing and maintaining effective research collaborations can be challenging, especially within an interdisciplinary landscape. This one-day event will explore communicating our research to audiences from other disciplines. It will cover common assumptions about working with researchers in different disciplines, and barriers and enablers to interdisciplinary collaboration and research. We will be taking advantage of the Dumfries Campus to provide opportunities to explore the gardens and surrounding landscape with fellow researchers as part of the day. During lunchtime, there will be optional activities like thematic board games, walking in gardens, or visiting a local organisation like the Dumfries Museum or Dalscone Farm Park.

The event will take place on the 11th June 2025, 10:30-15:30 at the School of Social and Environmental Sustainability’s Dumfries Campus. Transport between the Gilmorehill Campus and Dumfries Campus will be provided (departure 08:45, anticipated arrival back at Glasgow 17:00).
