One of the most important objectives of the Molecular Pathology Nodes is the concerted UK-wide effort towards creation of the next generation of leaders in Molecular Pathology, to deliver a clearly defined goal of high impact innovation on the basis of of complex informatics for the benefits to patient care, academic research and UK industries.

Under the initiatives of MRC/EPSRC Molecular Pathology Node and the National Cancer Research Institute's CM-Path, we have catalogued the information on molecular pathology training opportunities currently available across the UK.  As a start, EPSRC/MRC Molecular Pathology Node-sponsored programmes are brought together here.  We aim to update this information Guide regularly.

We hope this Information Guide is useful in providing information for those interested in undertaking training in this area, including pathology trainee, clinical scientists and other related health professionals.

The Information Guide for Molecular Pathology Training summarises all courses and workshops  provided under the Node initiatives that have been generated by the Node Training Network under Glasgow's lead, and are now available on University of Glasgow Molecular Pathology Node website.

Dr Tomoko Iwata, Programme Director of MSc Molecular Pathology, has been receiving inquiries about the training from various prospective students, around the UK proving the usefulness and value of the guide.
