The Living Laboratory is proud to celebrate two of its projects being shortlisted, alongside a nomination for our partner MR CoilTech, at this year’s Scotland’s Life Sciences Conference & Awards.
Our collaboration with Kadans Science Partner has been shortlisted in the Innovative Collaboration category, recognising the unique and genuinely collaborative model behind the Health Innovation Hub (HiH), Glasgow’s newest purpose-built life sciences facility that is set to open its doors this March.
Together, we set out to address a key challenge for Glasgow: the shortage of high-quality commercial lab space needed to support growing companies and unlock innovation. Working in partnership, we’ve delivered a valuable new asset for Glasgow’s innovation ecosystem and local community.
We’re also proud that the Digital Health Validation Lab (DHVL) has been shortlisted in the Innovation: Health Technology category. This recognition celebrates DHVL as a first-of-its-kind national capability in Scotland, transforming how healthtech products are evidenced, adopted and scaled.
Finally, we’re delighted to see MR CoilTech - partner in our Coil Development project - nominated in the Global Export Impact category, building on last year’s achievement of winning in the Innovative Collaboration category.
Dr Ruth McLaughlin, Living Laboratory Programme Director, said: “These nominations are a real testament to the ambition and dedication of our team and partners, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we’re achieving together.”
We would like to congratulate the wider University of Glasgow’s College of Medical, Veterinary, and Life Sciences on receiving a record number of nominations this year, reflecting its strength in life sciences research, innovation and collaboration.
The Scotland’s Life Sciences Awards has highlighted the country’s ever-expanding footprint in life sciences for over 25 years. It continues to honour excellence and innovation across the sector, strengthening Scotland’s position as a leader in transformative healthcare solutions.
