The Living Laboratory

The Living Laboratory has announced a month-long programme of activity to mark the official opening of the new Health Innovation Hub (HiH) this March.

The new state-of-the-art facility, which has been delivered in partnership with Kadans Science Partner, represents a significant new addition to Glasgow’s health and life sciences landscape.

The programme will bring together a wide range of events and opportunities delivered by the Living Laboratory and its partners, providing a platform to explore healthcare innovation in its many forms. Designed to engage communities, schools, researchers, and innovators alike, the programme will create opportunities for learning, connection, and exchange, while celebrating the opening of the Health Innovation Hub as a new cornerstone of Glasgow’s innovation ecosystem.

Located adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital (QEUH), the Health Innovation Hub brings another 65,000 square feet of flexible office and laboratory space to the city. The facility has been designed to support the growth of health and life sciences companies, offering a collaborative environment with access to world-leading academic expertise, co-located industry partners, and proximity to outstanding clinical resources and infrastructure.

The opening of the Health Innovation Hub marks an important milestone for the Living Laboratory and the wider city, strengthening its capacity to support healthcare innovation that delivers benefits for patients, communities, and the wider economy.
