Formed in 2010, the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences brings together internationally renowned experts and state-of-the-art facilities to improve health and quality of life for humans and animals across the globe. The College also provides innovative teaching for our students, preparing them for a wide variety of exciting careers.
For September 2017 academic session our College is offering 1 scholarship worth the full tuition fee of a one year Masters programme to an offer holder from India.

Studying at Glasgow will prepare you for a wide variety of careers that are in demand internationally, ranging from clinical medicine and veterinary medicine, to biological and environmental science.
This scholarship is open to applicants from India applying to all on-campus Masters programmes within the College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences at the University of Glasgow. Applicants will be evaluated on the basis of their application for admission and must:
- be resident in India at time of applying have completed a first degree in India
- demonstrate academic excellence and obtain a degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 or above
Offer holders who are being considered for the scholarship will be contacted and asked to submit a 400 word personal statement detailing:
- why you have selected the programme at the University of Glasgow
- why you merit the funded-place (e.g academic/personal achievement)
- how you will benefit from it (e.g. employment prospects, financial relief, etc)
- Your personal statement should be around 400 words and include your full name and applicant number.
There is no separate application form required.

Full fee waiver
Applicants who have received an offer of admission by 1 March will automatically be assessed, those candidates who have been nominated for the scholarship will be emailed requesting a personal statement and scholarship decisions will be made by 16 March.
We cannot guarantee that applications received after 1st March 2017 will be considered for 2017 entry. As we receive a great number of applications, prospective students are only allowed to apply once per year.
