Aside from the research atmosphere being very friendly and collaborative, I have found an interesting and ambitious project.
Another reason I remained is that I love the outdoors – whenever I want a break from the lab I can go on an adventure in the Highlands.
One of the achievements I’m most proud of was pitching a sepsis diagnostic tool to a panel of experts at the MVLS Science Den competition.
And then learning how to develop a business plan around a novel idea.
