Become a College of Arts & Humanities Visiting Student Mentor
Do you enjoy meeting people from all over the world?
Come and join the team as a Visiting Student Mentor to one of our many visiting students!
The College of Arts & Humanities Visiting Student Mentor Programme is your chance to help visiting students settle into life at Glasgow. Adjusting to a different cultural environment can be exciting and challenging, and visiting students at the University often have a lot of questions and concerns during their first few weeks on campus. The Mentor Programme aims to help them begin a smooth transition.
VSMP Mentors are University of Glasgow undergraduate students (years 2–5) who help international visiting students to feel at home in Glasgow, for instance by exploring Scotland together, socialising on weekends, and by helping them meet new friends and settle in.
For Glasgow students, this is an enjoyable way to make new, international friends and to develop your interpersonal skills and graduate attributes.
Your participation in the Mentor Programme will also be recognised on your Higher Education Achievement Report (HEAR).
