Postgraduate Taught degree applications

The normal standard of admission is at least an Upper Second Class Honours degree (2:1).

Candidates whose native language is not English will be expected to produce proof of proficiency in the English language. The following are acceptable as evidence: 

International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall 7.0 with no sub-test less than 7.0
Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) A minimum
Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) B minimum
Pearson Test of English (Academic) 68 with a minimum of 60 in writing

Please note that there are some exceptions to the above which are outlined on the International webpages.

Please also note that the Home Office are no longer accepting TOEFL as an accepted SELT test.

Applicants may be required to submit a sample of written work and/or a personal statement in addition to the academic transcript, references, and linguistic proficiency documentation, as stipulated by the Convener of the degree programme.
