Biography
I am a Teacher Associate at the Centre for Teaching Excellence, working within the Teaching-Focused Research Core Hub. I have taught mathematics since 1999, beginning my career in Inverclyde before moving to Madrid to serve as Head of Mathematics in an international school. I later spent more than a decade as an Advanced Skills Teacher, specialising in Learning and Teaching across schools and colleges in Oxfordshire. This period was instrumental in developing my commitment to research-informed and evidence-based practice. Reflective practice is central to my professional identity. I thrive in teams where others are equally thoughtful and reflective.
I am currently Head of Mathematics at The Glasgow Academy, where I continue to champion research-engaged professional learning and meaningful CPD for both individual teachers and whole departments.
