We have a number of international summer schools at Glasgow that are tailored specifically for our summer school partners around the world. Note do not apply unless you come from one of the institutions listed below and have applied to your home institution for a place on the summer programme before you submit an application to the University of Glasgow.

Accommodation

72 hours after you have accepted your place at the University of Glasgow, you will be able to book your accommodation. The cost of your accommodation will be added as a charge to your student account which will be created on the University’s MyCampus record system when you apply to the summer programme.

You will have your own room in a shared student flat near to the campus. This is only a 10 – 15-minute walk from campus and just minutes away from the buoyant shopping area of Byres Road and the Botanic Gardens.

Flats have individual internet connectivity incorporating Wi-Fi in each room.

Kitchens will be equipped. Bedding will be provided but you should bring your own towels.

Social and Cultural Immersion Programme

Your summer experience will also include opportunities for you to embrace Scottish and Glaswegian culture, interact with over 500 International Summer School students from around the world and visit some beautiful locations.

The International Summer School team are supported by Senior UoG students who will be hosting a variety of social and cultural events for all International Summer School students. 

Each International Summer School student will be able to see some of Scotland's most beautiful scenary, entrenched in history, beauty, myth and legend. Day trips will be led by an excellent local tour guide who gives fantastic hints and tips for key places to pay attention to along the way, as well as where the best places are to lunch in your destination. You will also have the opportunity to wander around and explore, armed with a map and your curiosity. Bring your camera!

Students with confirmed Summer School places will be able to sign up digitally to summer school activities and events from the beginning of May 2021 when they will be sent a link to our events platform.
