35 students from our PGT International Relations programme went on a study trip to Brussels
During a period of considerable turbulence in world politics, 35 students of our PGT International Relations programme went on a study trip to Brussels which was organised by Dr Benjamin Faude and took place from 7 April to 11 April. The study trip included visits to the European Commission, the European External Action Service, the European Parliament, Scotland House, the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and the House of European History. Presentations at the European institutions covered topics such as "The EU’s response to the conflict between Israel and Hamas and the spill-over in the region" and "What does the EU do to support defence industry?". Our students engaged thoughtfully with the speakers and took advantage of the opportunity to network with them. The trip was very generously supported by the School of Social and Political Sciences which provided a travel grant for each participating student.
MSc student Shadab Ali from Pakistan shared a video of the trip which is avaialble to watch on YouTube.
