New staff member: Kirsty Henderson

Research Associate on ADUP, from November 2014

Kirsty will be working as research associate with Dr Cindy Gray at The University of Glasgow, Dr John Rooksby at The University of Glasgow and Dr Marilyn Lennon from The University of Strathclyde on the ADUP Project- Mobile App Data as a Utility for Public Health Benefit. This pilot project between The University of Glasgow and The University of Strathclyde explores the potential barriers as well as the opportunities of mobile health data for public health benefit.

Kirsty has submitted her PhD in Sociology which explored the health information seeking practices of two Black and Minority Ethnic populations living in the West of Scotland. She won a JARLs Scholarship at the University of Strathclyde to undertake her PhD research.Currently her research interests stretch across disciplines and topics including: public health, ehealth, mhealth, information poverty, social identities and social inequalities.
