Several staff in the School have been awarded major new grants which will advance our research work in 2012, building on strengths and expertise.

Several staff in the School have been awarded major new grants which will advance our research work in 2012, building on strengths and expertise.

Recent examples include:

  •  and  for a project on Chinese people’s attitudes to health care. This is a collaboration with colleagues in Glasgow, Manchester and China.
     
  • , , and  (Economic and Social History) on the History of Working Class Marriage in Scotland, 1855-1976. The project will produce a landmark history of marriage in Scotland. It also involves collaboration with external organisations, including the Glasgow Women’s Library and Scottish Women’s Aid, to disseminate findings and with Teaching and Learning Scotland to produce materials for use in schools.
