Estonia has a long tradition of big music festivals and is this week preparing to host the world’s first digital song festival: ÜHTELAULMINE!.

Staff and students of Central and East European Studies will join over 100 choirs in different locations around the world, all taking part by singing along over the internet. The event will be co-ordinated from Estonia, with one conductor directing all the choirs simultaneously while audio and images are beamed back to be broadcast live on national television, and on giant open-air screens in Tallinn.

You can join the festival online on Friday 20 August at 6pm. The CEES choir will be participating from their offices at 8 Lilybank Gardens.
