A quick update from Glasgow Brain Injury Research Group

A quick update from Glasgow Brain Injury Research Group!

2021 was a big year for GBIRG, and we are four months into 2022 with no signs of slowing down. In the last year we have: attended the THE Awards in London as a nominee for STEM research project of the year; brought the CONNECT-TBI project to a successful mid-point; welcomed our newest team member, Natalie Jenkins, as a PhD student looking into brain injury sustained through Intimate Partner Violence; and (after presenting on the ground-breaking results of the FIELD Study (Football’s InfluencE on lIfelong health and Dementia risk)) our now-former-PhD student passed her viva and is continuing her work with us as Dr Emma Russell!

If you want to see some of Emma's work close-up, take a walk along the 'Images of Science' exhibition on the Clyde walkway, where her submission was accepted and installed just recently (pictured)!
