Scholarship interests:
- Mapping and embedding employability in the higher education curriculum
- Supporting psychology students' employability development
- Lived experiences of inclusivity of LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse students in higher education
- Generative AI use in supporting employability
- Peer-assisted learning
Dissertation supervision:
I supervise qualitative projects within occupational and educational psychology topics. I prefer to supervise projects which explore lived experiences in the following topics within either a workplace or higher education context:
- Equality, Diversity and Inclusion
- Identity Management (e.g. Identity regarding Gender, Sexual, Social, Disability)
- Employability, career readiness, career development, and transitions into/within/out of the workplace
Previous research experience:
My PhD research combined developmental psychology, cognitive psychology and nueroimaging, in using Electroencephalography to understand how the brain processes sounds and audiovisual information. Projects I have worked on included:
- Pre-stimulus oscillatory neural correlates of sound pitch and intensity in healthy ageing
- Oscillatory and ERP correlates of audiovisual speech perception in healthy ageing
- Perception of facial expressions of emotion in healthy ageing
