Research interests

Dr Jude Stevenson is a lecturer with primary focus on mental health and well-being. Her PhD investigated stigmatising attitudes towards, and attentional biases in, trichotillomania (hair-pulling disorder). Dr Stevenson continues to research and advocate for body focussed repetitive behaviours and compulsive behaviours. She is also a UK ambassador for the TLC Foundation for Body Focused Repetitive Behaviours (https://www.bfrb.org/). Dr Stevenson is also the International Student Mobility Coordinator for the School of Psychology. Dissertation ideas in the broad area of the student experience (e.g., PAL, sense of belonging) are particularly welcome this year.
