School of Physics & Astronomy

In recognition of our continued work to promote gender equality in physics, we were delighted to be re-awarded the Athena SWAN silver award (which we have held since 2013).  The award will be presented at a ceremony at the University of Liverpool on 12th December 2016.

This fantastic effort was spearheaded by Prof. Lyndsay Fletcher, together with a committee comprising other academics, research associates, and postgraduate students.  A summary of progress and challenges in this vital area is found on our Equality and diversity webpages.
