Sam graduated BDS with Commendation from the University of Glasgow in 2016 and has practised in Glasgow ever since. He passed the MJDF examination to gain the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (RCS England) and currently holds Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow (MFDS RCPSG). He is a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).

He works in general dental practice in Newton Mearns where his clinical focus is general dentistry along with advanced aesthetic, restorative, clear aligners and implant dentistry.

He has worked part-time for the University of Glasgow as a clinical teaching fellow since 2021
