Research interests

Dr George Thom is a Registered Dietitian who works as a Research Associate within the Human Nutrition team at Glasgow University. His research focusses on the effects of weight loss on type 2 diabetes remission and the prevention of weight gain in young adults. His doctoral research investigated the role of several physiological, psychological and clinical factors on weight loss maintenance. He previously worked as an obesity specialist dietitian in the NHS.
