How are nurses across Europe involved in the care of individuals with hereditary cancer syndromes?
Published: 4 November 2025
We invite registered nurses to take part in a European survey exploring how nurses are involved in the care of individuals and families with hereditary cancer syndromes (e.g. Lynch syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis, BRCA-related cancers, and others).
This is a European study, led by Dr Celia Diez de los Rios de la Serna, to focus specifically on nursing roles in hereditary cancer care. By sharing your experience, you will help us:
- Map current nursing practice across Europe,
- Identify educational and training needs, and
- Strengthen the visibility of nursing contributions in this growing field.
Who can take part?
Registered nurses and advanced practice nurses working in any setting where hereditary cancer care may be relevant (oncology, breast units, gastroenterology, genetics, primary care, etc.) across Europe.
About the survey:
- 10–12 minutes to complete
- Conducted online through the secure Qualtrics platform
- Participation is voluntary and anonymous
- You may skip questions or withdraw at any point
This survey has the ethical approval from the University of Glasgow.
