We study human gallbladder and biliary system using mechanical modelling, in vivo imaging, in vitro testing and clinical observations and follow-ups.  The objectives are to understand the mechanisms of the gallstone formation and sources of gallbladder pain and to develop objective diagnostic tools for surgeons.
