European Law Students’ Association

The European Law Student’s Association (ELSA) is the world’s largest independent, non-political, non-profit organisation of law students and young lawyers. ELSA at present has a presence in over 40 countries across Europe and offers unique opportunities in legal education, professional development, and international networking. Through initiatives like academic competitions, study visits, seminars, and traineeship opportunities, ELSA empowers students to become globally minded and socially responsible legal professionals. Offering a wide range of Summer and Winter Law schools across the continent, a great opportunity which students can take advantage of.

The ELSA2Glasgow initiative is a society at the University of Glasgow aimed at establishing an official ELSA group on campus and striving to affiliate ourselves with ELSA UK. The mission of our initiative is to bring the benefits of ELSA’s international network directly to Glasgow law students—opening doors to cross-border academic exchanges, internships (abroad or virtual) through the Student Trainee Exchange Programme (STEP), and participation in prestigious events such as ELSA Moot Court Competitions and Human Rights Conferences. The initiative also seeks to enhance students’ legal education and cultural awareness through collaboration with other ELSA groups and institutions across Europe, helping to promote greater international mobility within the Law School.
