Biography

Mr Euan Campbell is a lecturer in the School of Law and joined the school in April 2025.

Euan undertook his LLB (2015 - 2019) and Diploma in Professional Legal Practice (2019 - 2020) at Glasgow. After training at a commercial law firm in Scotland, Euan returned to Glasgow to undertake a doctoral thesis researching the law of ownerless land in Scotland, examining the Crown's rights to bona vacantia property, its role as ultimus haeres, and the period between death of a natural person and the confirmation of their executor (the haereditas jacens, a dormant estate). 

Euan's research interests mainly in Scots private law, particularly in property, trusts and succession law. 

Research interests

Private law; Ownership; Patrimony; Classification of rights; Personhood; Succession law; Corporate dissolution; Insolvency law; Compulsory purchase and eminent domain; and abandoned, neglected and detrimental land.
