Biography
I am a highly experienced research technological professional, with a background in medical microbiology and 23 years of experience in Immunology. The last 12 years have been spent establishing and building the reputation of the Flow Cytometry Core Facility in the School of Infection & Immunity which I manage.
My specialist knowledge of flow cytometry and its application to immune monitoring and biomarker discovery in translational research has been critical in serving a large research community with diverse scientific needs. I have also had direct responsibility for managing junior staff, training and supervising junior scientists. In addition to this my teaching commitments include lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses at Glasgow.
Whilst I have authorship on relatively few papers I have made a significant contribution to the Cytometry sections of 55 research papers since 2019
