Evidence of woven textiles confirmed at the Ness
Neolithic textile and cord impression preserved on a sherd of Grooved Ware pottery from Ness of Brodgar, Orkney, was discovered during a project started by the University of the Highlands and Islands. University of Glasgow Archaeology textile specialist, Dr Susanna Harris assisted UofG Masters graduate, Emma Smith identify the impressions.
