Biography

I joined the University of Glasgow's Social and Public Health Science's Unit (SPHSU) in November 2024 as a Research Assistant in the Systems Science Unit. Currently, I work as the data visualisation lead for Policy Modelling for Health and a research scientist on GALLANT. My work has involved exploring how the field of systems science may help us better understand the social determinants of health and how health inequalities are produced. I have also worked on the OPTIMA project, conducting geospatial analysis to better understand the concept of 20-minute neighbourhoods and links to health outcomes.

Research interests

My work applies data science methods to public health problems, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative data to inform equitable policy. I'm particularly interested in urban planning, climate adaptation, social determinants of health, and health behaviours: areas where complex systems involving economics, the environment, health, and social structures impact outcomes. 

Alongside my research, I am passionate about how to communicate findings in an engaging and accessible way: through data visualisation and public engagement that makes evidence relevant to the people and decisions it's meant to serve.
