Biography
Dr. Louise Marryat joined the University of Glasgow's School of Health and Wellbeing in January 2026, where she was appointed as a Lord Kelvin/Adam Smith (LKAS) Senior Research Fellow. Louise specialises in research on child development, substance use, and administrative data research. She has secured over £4 million in research funding, including a UK Research and Innovation Future Leaders Fellowship. With a PhD in Psychological Medicine, she has held research positions at Edinburgh and Dundee universities. She has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and serves on multiple advisory boards. Her work informs health and social policies, particularly around opioid exposure in pregnancy and early childhood development, making significant contributions to public health research and practice.
