Published: 28 June 2018

The Glasgow Clinical Trials Forum takes place on Friday 21 May 2021, providing a "one stop shop" for those interested in clinical trials to come together and understand how the trials infrastructure across the university and NHS is organised and can best support your research

Glasgow has two registered clinical trials units (CTUs) – Glasgow CTU and Cancer Research UK Glasgow CTU, who in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde Research and Innovation and the Population Health Research Facility provide investigators with support, at a local, national or international level, for clinical trials and other well-designed studies, including their concept, design, implementation, management, regulatory compliance, statistical analysis, and reporting.

Professor Iain McInnes, Vice Principal and Head of the College of MVLS, will present the Forum’s keynote lecture.

His lecture will be followed by a series of brief presentations from the CTUs and partner organisations, including support for Patient and Public Involvement in clinical trials.

The event will close with a Q&A event with the presenting panel of speakers.

The Forum is being co-ordinated by the Robertson Centre for Biostatistics (RCB), one of the constituent parts of Glasgow CTU. A full programme including speaker information and booking facility is available on Eventbrite. Attendance is free of charge.
