IHW British Sign Language cafés resume!

From August 2022 onwards (after a long two years for our community of BSL enthusiasts!), our monthly British Sign Language cafés will resume, this time joined by an external teacher to support our learning. All welcome – from total beginners to experienced users of this important language.

From August 2022 onwards (after a long two years for our community of BSL enthusiasts!), our monthly British Sign Language cafés will resume, this time with an external teacher – Carly Brownlie, formerly of Deaf Services Lanarkshire – in attendance, to help us keep our skills up to scratch. All welcome – from total beginners to experienced users of this important language!

Dates and times are as follows and all sessions will be held in 1 Lilybank Gardens (either Lecture Room 2 or Lecture Room 3 – we will confirm nearer the time). 

Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.

Do join us if you can. Whether you are a beginner, have a few signs, are an experienced user, or just curious, you will be warmly welcomed!

In addition to face to face meet-ups, we also have a MS Teams facility. Anyone with an interest in learning this language and/or in finding out more about Deaf/deaf culture is most welcome to join us either in person or online.
