Celebrating the recent achievements of Institute of Health and Wellbeing staff and students

  • Public Health's Michael Fleming, whose paper Educational and health outcomes of school children in local authority care in Scotland: a retrospective record linkage study has been selected by the Health Data Research UK Impact Committee as "a significant impact which clearly demonstrates the value of HDR UK in uniting the UK's health data to make discoveries that improve people's lives"
  • General Practice and Primary Care's Frances Mair and Mental Health and Wellbeing's Rory O'Connor, on being named as fellows of The Royal Society of Edinburgh (RSE), Scotland’s National Academy. Frances and Rory now join the RSE’s current Fellowship of around 1,700 Fellows, who are recognised as being some of the greatest thinkers, researchers and practitioners working in or with Scotland today Read more about this... 
  • Robertson Centre for Biostatistic's Liz Anderson, appointed as the centre's new Director of Operations
  • General Practice and Primary Care's Lynsay Crawford, nominated for her innovative teaching in the UofG SRC (Students' Representative Council) 12th Annual Student Teaching Awards
  • Health Economics and Health Technology Assessment's Alieda McKinney, who is celebrating 30 years' service at University of Glasgow
  • Mental Health and Wellbeing PGR student Cara Richardson for successfully defending the thesis entitled "Towards an enhanced understanding of suicide risk in men"
