Training the next generation of trials methodologists

MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences Unit's Professor Rod Taylor co-led a successful UofG bid in the Medical Research Council 2021 prestigious Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) competition.

As part of the Trials Methodology Research Partnership (TMRP) involving 12 UK university partners, this award will provide doctoral training to a total of 30 students across the UK for the next three years.

It will equip a new generation of trials methodologists with the skills and experience to address the new challenges brought by high-dimensional data and harness opportunities offered through digital technologies and informatics to improve trial design, conduct and analysis for the benefit of patients.
