Looking forward to seeing many of you at the forthcoming IHW research away day 2022 – our first to be held face to face since the start of the pandemic!

This will take place on Wednesday 18 May 2022, starting at 11.30am, in the Glasgow Grosvenor Hotel (1–9 Grosvenor Terrace, Glasgow G12 0TA.

The event will be chaired by Rod Taylor (MRC/CSO Social and Public Health Sciences) and co-chaired by Laura Hughes-McCormack (Mental Health and Wellbeing). 

Draft programme (subject to change)

11.00 to 11.30am Registration and coffee
11.30 to 11.35am Introduction (Prof Jill Pell)
11.35am to 12 noon Clarice Pears Building (Prof Jill Pell) Q&A
12 noon to 1.00pm Research culture/overwork
1.00 to 2.00pm Lunch and poster session
2.00 to 2.45pm 3-minute thesis (3MT) talks
2.45 to 3.15pm Research integrity (Prof Denis Fischbacher-Smith)
3.15 to 3.30pm 3MT and poster prizes, and closing comments

You may attend either in person or remotely (but do let us know on the registration form – and if your plans change nearer the time – to avoid food waste). 

Covid protections

  • There is no requirement to wear a face mask but, if you would feel more comfortable in a mask, please feel free to do so
  • If you would prefer not to share a group table, please move your chair to wherever in the room you feel most comfortable
  • There will be sanitising stations around the venue
