In times of national and global crises, it is important that the voice of the pubic and communities are heard. It is also vital that public and patient involvement in maintained in the rapid expansion of COVID and related studies.

While face to face activities are not an option, MVLS PPIe (Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement) have convened a virtual PPI group to enable involvement.

Public and patients are a crucial element in translating research into a more equitable clinical and health care practice. The MVLS PPIe Group can:

  • review lay summaries from COVID related studies and reviews,
  • review patient facing study documents
  • review public guidance document
  • offer patient perspectives on study design and recruitment.

We can give you quick email responses or can convene ZOOM meetings for more in-depth discussion. If you are interested, please contact tracy.Ibbotson@glasgow.ac.uk.
