Improving support for people with long term conditions
Published: 24 February 2026
Workshop on 25th March - looking for people over 18 who live in an area experiencing high rates of poverty, and who have at least two long term conditions.
We are looking for people to attend a workshop at Byres Hub on Wednesday 25th March, 2-3.30pm. The workshop will use creative activities (like lego or drawing pictures) to understand what the group thinks is important in managing multiple long-term conditions well and how community influences this.
This study will explore what people living and working in areas experiencing high levels of poverty identify are important elements of primary and community care that help people manage their conditions better (examples might include “more time with GP”, “support to navigate social care services”).
At the end of the study, we will ask people to identify the most important things to consider in future studies which aim to improve support for people with multiple long-term conditions.
The research team will use these findings to shape a future study which will work with communities to design a new way to deliver General Practice for people with multiple long-term conditions.
