Biography

I am an ESRC Postdoctoral Fellow exploring an environmental, labour, and political history of oil and petrochemicals through case study of Grangemouth, a settlement in central Scotland. This is based on an extensive oral history and archival project undertaken during my PhD at the University of Glasgow (2022-2026).

I have worked with the Scottish Just Transition Commission to research on industrial closure and just transition policy. I wrote the report, Just Transition Conditionalities: Building a Toolkit for Scotland. With Ewan Gibbs, I co-authored the report The Grangemouth Oil Refinery Closure: Workers' Perspectives.
