The School of Geographical and Earth Sciences is enthused to announce the recruitment of five new academic positions in areas that are aligned with our key research and research-led teaching strengths. Our research portfolio is as broad as it is vibrant and our School is uniquely positioned to engage with and lead transdisciplinary, future research challenges, for example, through schemes like the Global Challenges Funding.
This new cohort will contribute to our vision and strengthen our research leadership profile by employing the latest techniques and intellectual thought in the areas of geospatial data science, biogeosciences, human geography and planetary geomorphology. Collegiate and collaborative interactions will align with and be facilitated through one or more of our six research themes: Global Landscapes, Stressed Environments & Communities, Life’s Interactions with Dynamic Environments, Creative Geohumanities, Dynamic Earth & Planetary Evolution, and Spatial Politics & Practices. We are seeking individuals who will make a significant contribution to our Earth Systems and Human Geography Research Groups, as well as, to the broader College of Science and Engineering and beyond.
