For purposes of Accreditations and Quality & Enhancement, The School of Education processes the information outlined in this notice in pursuit of our legitimate interests in communicating with alumni to enable the University to achieve its strategic and operational goals, with your consent to do so.

Where your data comes from

The data for this purpose is obtained directly from you while you are a student of the University of Glasgow. It will be collected directly through an electronic form.

Some information may also come from reliable, public sources. For example, the publicly available General Teaching Council for Scotland online register of teachers.

The data we hold

For this purpose, we hold the following information about our alumni

  • Your name, title, gender, and date of birth if we have it.
  • Your preferred personal email address and / or social media contact.
  • Communication preferences, such as if you have told us you do not want any contact from us.
