The School of Education at the University of Glasgow has been awarded the contract to host the Scottish Government’s Centre for Teaching Excellence (CfTE), the key aim of which is ‘to support teachers, including those in Gaelic Medium Education, to actively lead and engage with research and evidence to help inform and develop their practice’. The Centre will provide a service for all of Scotland’s teachers, supporting you to access, create and use research to further enhance teaching and learning.
As a national service for teachers, it is imperative that the Centre’s thematic priorities and ways of working are consistent with what teachers in Scottish schools say they need and want. We’re therefore inviting you to contribute your views via the CfTE National Teacher Survey.
Further information about the survey, including ethical assurances, can be accessed at the start of the survey, before the survey questions themselves. You are under no obligation to respond and are free to exit the survey at any point prior to clicking the submit button. The research has been approved by the University of Glasgow College of Social Sciences Ethics Committee.
We would be very grateful if you would consider responding to the survey and ask that you pass this invitation to other teacher colleagues if they have not yet received it through other means. The more responses we get, the better we can ensure that the CfTE truly reflects the views of teachers across the length and breadth of Scotland.
Please do get in touch if you have any questions. We look forward to continued engagement with you as the Centre develops.
