Biography

I became interested in theology at the age of 17.  I was looking for French novels in my local library and found something equally mysterious and exciting.  It was volume 1 of Paul Tillich's Systematic Theology.  I understood hardly a word but knew that I had stumbled across something that would change my life.  I have always been interested in the relationship between theology, culture and politics.  This has drawn me to work in one of the most interdisciplinary areas of theological study: practical theology.  I still like to read my theology alongside novels and have recently begun to explore the relationship between theology and creative writing.
