Linguists ask: Why would one talk posh in Buckie? Scots dialects and dual linguistic identity- ground breaking work by Dr Jennifer Smith, Senior lecturer in English Language.

Dr Jennifer Smith's, ESCR funded project, One Speaker, two dialects: bidialectalism across the generations in a Scottish community, draws attention to the marked change in traditional regional dialects.
