Communications at the University of Glasgow
We are an emerging subject area offering research and education in the areas of communication, media, technology and culture. Based in the School of Critical Studies, our taught degrees and research expertise address global questions around the impact, ethics and developments of communications in deeply mediated and technologised societies and cultures.
In our research and teaching, we draw from Media and Communication studies, Cultural Studies, and Science and Technology Studies in our approach to relevant and timely topics such as migration, borders and technology, globalisation, digital memory, health, gender and the body, and media ecologies.
