Nokia Bell Labs Women's Scholarship
The School of Computing Science at the University of Glasgow invites applications from female UK citizens for the Nokia Bell Labs Women’s Scholarship.
This scholarship is part of a global initiative by Nokia Bell Labs to increase the participation of women in STEM subjects, with the long-term aim of boosting female representation in the company’s R&D workforce.
One successful candidate will be supported to undertake a PhD in Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, in a topic of her choice (subject to suitable supervision arrangements within the School).
Scholarship details
- Tuition fees covered for 3.5 years of full-time study (or 6–8 years part-time, pro-rata)
- A stipend at UKRI Research Council rates for living expenses
- The recipient’s name and University email address will be shared with Nokia Bell Labs to enable communication
- The recipient will have informal opportunities to meet with Nokia Bell Labs employees, discuss research, and learn about jobs and other opportunities at the company
- The scholarship does not represent or guarantee a job with Nokia Bell Labs
- The scholarship holder will retain ownership of all intellectual property they generate during their studies
